The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Board has decided not to renew Humphrey Wattanga's contract, removing him as Commissioner-General just four months before his term was set to end. The tax agency announced Wattanga will proceed on terminal leave immediately. In response, KRA appointed Lilian Nyawanda as Acting Commissioner General to succeed Wattanga. Meanwhile, former KRA Commissioner General Humphrey Wattanga has been nominated as Kenya's High Commissioner to South Africa following his exit from the tax authority. This appointment is part of a series of diplomatic nominations announced by President William Ruto.
