President William Ruto has launched the Sh5.5 billion revival of the Voi–Mwatate–Taveta railway line, a project aimed at revitalizing regional trade and connectivity after nearly two decades of inactivity. The government has revived the Voi-Mwatate-Taveta railway line, inactive for nearly 20 years, aiming to revive trade routes and boost the regional economy. President William Ruto defended the inclusive government model during a development project launch in Taita Taveta County. Separately, President Ruto continues to emphasize his commitment to fighting corruption, a move that has been met with skepticism from Kenyans regarding the implementation of these promises.
