Kenya's United Opposition leaders have issued a stark warning that the country could descend into anarchy if the government fails to control political violence. National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula and Catholic Bishop Emeritus Maurice Crowley have voiced strong concerns regarding the escalating trend of political violence and the hiring of goons to disrupt public rallies, warning this culture poses a significant threat to Kenya's democratic space. Political analyst Barrack Muluka asserts that Kenya's constitution is merely cosmetic, describing the nation as being in the hands of goons.
