Mvurya hosts new CAF boss, unveils AFCON 2027 roadmap - April 2026
Kenya is intensifying preparations for co-hosting the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, with Sports Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya meeting the new Confederation of African Football Acting Secretary General Samson Adamu to unveil the roadmap for the event. Sports ministers from Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, the co-hosts of the 2027 AFCON, are set to convene next week to chart a course for the tournament. Furthermore, officials from CAF and FIFA recently inspected the Talanta Stadium, a new facility currently on schedule for completion by mid-2023.
