The Orange Democratic Movement has suspended coalition talks with the United Democratic Alliance, citing a lack of respect and perceived attempts to undermine the party. ODM has accused its broad-based partners, UDA, of disrespect and unwarranted attacks amid escalating political tensions. Internal discord is surfacing within Kenyan political alliances, with ODM and UDA leaders engaging in public exchanges, signaling potential rifts. The ruling UDA party has also accused former President Uhuru Kenyatta of allegedly funding opposition-led mass protests against the government's economic policies.
