The Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) has resumed full operations after the High Court stayed enforcement of a revocation notice by the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA). The High Court temporarily suspended TVETA's decision to revoke KIM's operating licence, providing relief to thousands of students. Meanwhile, MPs are advocating for a policy shift to declare education as "subsidised" instead of "free," following the government's admission of a significant funding shortfall in the existing programme. Separately, the Teachers Service Commission has debunked viral social media posts claiming changes to hardship allowances and approved teaching subject combinations, ahead of nationwide mass teachers transfers.
