The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) have established a joint committee to synchronize their executive and legislative agendas, aiming for improved governance and service delivery. The formation of this joint team follows growing tensions between the two parties over political zoning ahead of the 2027 General Election. President William Ruto is reportedly ignoring demands from ODM regarding political zoning, despite warnings from ODM leaders that their working arrangement could collapse. Meanwhile, rival factions within ODM are set to hold an explosive Linda Mwananchi rally in Kisumu on Sunday, amid existing party divisions and internal conflicts.
