Uganda Cobs dominated an international friendly boxing tournament held at Madison Square Garden in Nakuru City on Friday night, defeating a largely inexperienced Nakuru ABC team to clinch the inaugural Carlos Muthee Mwangi Memorial Cup.

• Uganda Cobs amassed 26 points to win the cup, with Nakuru ABC finishing runners-up with 15 points.
• Out of 16 bouts, Uganda won all but one, securing most victories via referee stop contest (RSC).
• The sole victory for the hosts came from Moses Joseph of Nakuru ABC, who defeated Ugandan minimumweight boxer Ashiraf Dimirire.

Kenya's Cheruiyot Koech and Uganda's Dorrine Chesang were crowned the champions of the 7th edition of the Eldoret City Marathon held on Sunday.

• Koech won the men's 42km race in 2:12:53, while Chesang took the women's title in 2:30:26.
• The event saw hundreds of elite athletes compete, including an inaugural 1 Mile race.
• Koech was motivated by a desire to buy family land, and Chesang saw the race as preparation for the World Championships.
