Electricity consumers in Kenya will face higher power bills starting in April 2026 due to three new charges introduced by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority. Five Kenyan clean cooking companies are seeking to raise a total of Sh5.6 billion from international investors to scale their operations and meet growing demand for eco-friendly cooking solutions. Following intervention by the Commission on Administrative Justice, KETRACO settled a Sh3.9 million land compensation claim for land compulsorily acquired for a major power transmission project.
