Kenya sets new African relay record at World Athletics Relays in Botswana - May 2026

Kenya has shattered the African record in the 4x200m race at the World Athletics Relays in Gaborone, Botswana. The team's dominant performance secured them a place in the upcoming World Athletics Championships in Poland. Earlier, Kenyan relay teams had successfully qualified for the finals of the upcoming World Athletics Championships. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has also announced the dates for the opening match and final of the AFCON 2027 tournament, which will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
