President William Ruto secured France's support for the rehabilitation and expansion of the Nairobi Commuter Rail system in a deal worth Ksh12.5 billion, part of 11 economic growth instruments signed between Kenya and France. Additionally, President Ruto announced a Ksh4.5 billion Engineering and Science Complex at the University of Nairobi, jointly funded by the French Development Agency. These agreements were signed following bilateral talks between President Ruto and French President Emmanuel Macron in Nairobi to strengthen Kenya-France ties.
