The Kenya Transporters Association (KTA) is protesting the alleged arrest of Kenyan drivers' leaders in Uganda, which has triggered a strike at key border crossings.

• The arrests reportedly occurred shortly after these leaders helped broker a resolution to a trucking standoff related to the safety of drivers in South Sudan.
• KTA, an industry association, is calling for the immediate and unconditional release of the detained leaders.
