France has committed KSh12.5 billion to modernize the Nairobi commuter rail network, announced during President Emmanuel Macron's visit to Nairobi. Additionally, France announced plans to build a new Ksh 106 billion port terminal in Kenya, expanding bilateral infrastructure cooperation. The two nations are also partnering to advance the digital economy, recognizing its potential to drive cross-border trade and create opportunities for African youth. These agreements were reached during Macron's Africa Forward Summit visit, which also included a morning run with Kenyan marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge and the halting of a youth forum due to excessive noise.
