Campaigns for the Emurua Dikirr parliamentary by-election concluded on Tuesday, with five candidates vying for the seat following the death of MP Johana Ngeno. The rivalry intensified between UDA's David Keter and DCP's Vincent Rotich as final rallies were held. Meanwhile, Wiper Patriotic Front leader Kalonzo Musyoka has accused the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) of failing to address concerns regarding its preparedness for the 2027 General Election. The Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) also weighed in, blaming politicians for escalating political violence and warning that the country risks increased instability ahead of the 2027 polls.
