The Teachers' Service Commission (TSC) has announced plans to promote over 30,000 teachers by the end of 2026, aiming to enhance career progression within public service. Separately, the Ministry of Labour has ordered a mandatory nationwide biometric verification for all Inua Jamii programme beneficiaries to enhance transparency and prevent fraud for the Ksh2,000 monthly stipend. Additionally, student unrest has led to the closure of State House Girls High School and disrupted learning in several institutions across Kenya, with students voicing grievances over food, living conditions, and academic pressure. The Ministry of Education called an emergency meeting for all public secondary school principals to address the surge in unrest.
