The Nairobi City Marathon 2026 is set for a record turnout with 17,000 runners registered, marking a 6% increase from the previous year, with the majority signing up for the 10km race. Prominent athletes John Langat and Jonathan Korir are expected to headline the event scheduled for June 7. Additionally, Catherine Reline and Mathew Kimeli emerged victorious at the inaugural Cherangany Hills 10km race held in Elgeyo Marakwet. Meanwhile, Kenya is also gearing up to host the UFAK Region East Karate Championship from May 28th to 31st, aiming to leverage its home advantage and draw significant regional participation.
