Kenya's health sector budget has seen a significant increase to Ksh177.2 billion for the 2026/27 financial year, a rise of Ksh39.1 billion, aimed at bolstering service delivery under Taifa Care and Universal Health Coverage (UHC). Referral hospitals and medical interns are among the big winners in this allocation.
