Africa Capital Week has opened in Nairobi, bringing together key stakeholders in the financial sector to advance economic sovereignty across the continent. Kenya is hosting this significant continental platform between August 31 and September 4, 2026, designed to stimulate investment and foster economic independence. The event aims to foster crucial discussions on the continent's financial future and reduce reliance on debt. This aligns with Kenya's broader push for economic sovereignty at a time when the National Treasury plans a new Ksh145.6 billion Eurobond to address the 2026/27 budget shortfall.
