The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has approved 16 counts of murder against suspects in the deadly arson incident at Utumishi Girls Academy on May 28, 2026, which claimed 16 lives. The Kenya Catholic Episcopal Conference (KCCB) condemned the All Saints attack and warned against rising goonism in the country. Additionally, Aden Duale reportedly avoided a jail sentence after allegedly violating a court order related to an Ebola testing center in Nanyuki. The suspects face murder charges following evidence review by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
