Victims Demand Inclusion in Government Compensation Process - June 2026
The Coalition of Victims and Survivors Against State Violence plans to file a lawsuit to ensure victims of enforced disappearances and torture are included in a state compensation process. Victims of abduction have issued a 24-hour ultimatum to the Kenyan government to publish a list of compensation payments or face legal action. All victims of human rights abuses between 2013 and 2025 will receive compensation, according to an assurance from the Chairperson of the Panel of Experts on Victims of Human Rights Violations.
