Ndindi Nyoro apologizes over Finance Bill vote absence - June 2026

Ndindi Nyoro, Kiharu Member of Parliament, has issued an apology to Kenyans for his absence during the critical vote on the Finance Bill 2026. He also vehemently denied accusations of being a puppet of President Ruto. Separately, Oburu Oginga, ODM party leader, has instructed aspiring candidates within the ODM party to secure their nominations through the support of grassroots members, explicitly rejecting any form of favoritism from party headquarters. Religious leaders in Kenya have also strongly condemned what they describe as political thuggery, urging for a shift away from violence and intimidation in political activities.
