Photos of Jubilee presidential candidate Fred Matiang'i with ODM leaders Junet Mohamed and Simba Arati at JKIA have sparked online speculation about a potential political alliance. Matiang'i, who serves as Jubilee deputy party leader, has subsequently denied a planned political meeting with Suna East MP Junet Mohamed and Kisii Governor Simba Arati following the circulation of photos online. At the same time, Cabinet Secretary for National Treasury John Mbadi has stated that some leaders from the Mt Kenya region are displeased with his appointment to the Treasury docket.
