Wetangula, Kingi seen publicly taking a leading role in campaigning for President Ruto - July 2026

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula and Senate Speaker Amason Kingi have been observed taking a prominent role in campaigning for President William Ruto's re-election. Energy and Petroleum Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi has declared that the Nyanza region is fully supporting President William Ruto, citing significant development achievements over the past three and a half years. Public Service Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku is also calling on residents of Ukambani to support President William Ruto's re-election bid in 2027. Leaders from the Mt Kenya region have pledged to rally support for President William Ruto as the next general election approaches.
