The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has initiated a nationwide manhunt to recover approximately Sh1.5 billion in connection with the controversial Ruaraka schools land compensation scandal. Separately, the Kenyan government has strongly refuted claims that SACCO members' savings will be utilized to fund the National Infrastructure Fund, issuing an apology and clarification to assure depositors their savings are secure.
