Six civil rights activists arrested during the Saba Saba anniversary protests in Nairobi have pleaded not guilty to charges of obstructing public transport.

• The activists are accused of blocking key transit routes in the Central Business District (CBD).
• Michael Ngige, Julius Kamau, Dickson Muli, James Bota, Dennis Kimani, and Mulinge Muteti were charged under the Kenya Roads Act.
• Each activist was released on a Sh2,000 cash bail by Senior Principal Magistrate Paul Mutai.
