The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is facing intense pressure ahead of the July 16 by-election, with political rivals trading accusations of poll sabotage, voter bribery, and planned violence. The Ol Kalou by-election, triggered by the death of MC David Kiaraho, has escalated into a high-stakes contest with significant political implications for the Mt Kenya region. The Linda Mwananchi Movement, led by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, cancelled planned rallies in Ol Kalou Constituency and will instead hold a meeting in Nyahururu Town on Sunday.
