Voting is underway in Ol Kalou Constituency for a crucial parliamentary by-election, with polling stations opening at 6:00 a.m. Residents braved chilly morning conditions to cast their ballots at various polling stations including Kiganjo Secondary School, AC Primary School, Comprehensive Primary School, and Silanga Polling Station. Nine candidates are competing in this highly anticipated by-election. The Central Regional Commissioner Joshua Nkanatha warned that police will impound vehicles without number plates in Ol Kalou. Meanwhile, IEBC completed final preparations and concluded preparations for the by-election, while Democracy for the Citizens party leader Rigathi Gachagua challenged President William Ruto to withdraw state agents from Ol Kalou ahead of the by-election if confident in his party winning. Public Service CS Geoffrey Ruku stated that the Ol Kalou by-election results will not affect Mt Kenya East's backing for the Kenya Kwanza government.
