Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has urged tourists and investors to avoid Kenya, citing security fears in what he describes as a region under siege. Government spokesperson Isaac Mwaura immediately slammed Gachagua's call, dismissing it as irresponsible and harmful to Kenya's economy. Meanwhile, CS Ruku vowed to secure Mt. Kenya East support for Ruto's 2027 re-election bid. At the same time, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi is rallying the Mulembe community to back the current administration ahead of the 2027 General Election. Gachagua also stated he would be offended if Ruto gets more than 1,000 votes in any constituency in their region, while claiming that Ruto is sending proxies to woo him back.
