Kenya Kwanza leaders lashed out at Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua over his "reckless" tourism remarks that reportedly warned tourists to avoid Kenya, with Gachagua claiming the country is not safe for Kenyans or foreigners. Gachagua has dared the government to arrest him if they possess evidence linking him to the outlawed Mungiki sect's alleged mobilization in the Mount Kenya region for political purposes. Interior CS Kindiki responded by questioning whether Gachagua had forgotten he is not from Mt Kenya region. Senator Kipchumba Murkomen warned politicians funding militia groups that their actions risk destabilizing the country.
