Opposition leaders under the Linda Mwananchi movement declared their readiness to challenge President William Ruto in the 2027 General Election during a rally in Trans Nzoia County. Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya declared at the rally that Western Kenya will unite and demand a significant role in national leadership, aiming to produce the country's next leaders ahead of the 2027 General Election. The movement previously intensified its campaign by staging rallies in Bungoma County. Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) Archbishop Jackson Ole Sapit has urged political leaders to exercise restraint and avoid inflammatory rhetoric as Kenya heads towards the 2027 General Election.
