Duale Defies NCIC Summons Over Alleged Inflammatory Remarks - July 2026

Political leaders Martha Karua and Kalonzo Musyoka are demanding the dismissal of Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale over alleged ethnically divisive remarks targeting the Kikuyu community. Duale stated he will not honour any summons from the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) unless former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is also summoned over alleged inflammatory remarks. CS Ruku similarly stated that NCIC should summon Gachagua before Duale over alleged hate speech. Duale remains unapologetic and is now demanding that Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua also face the NCIC.
