President William Ruto announced that a national dialogue focusing on Kenya's future beyond Vision 2030 will officially commence on August 12, 2026. President Ruto has detailed his rationale for appointing Professor Hiroyuki Hino and Professor Anyang' Nyong'o, along with their team, to develop Kenya's development strategy beyond 2030. Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has departed for Uganda to attend the AUSSOM Summit, which will convene regional leaders to deliberate on critical security and stabilization strategies for the Horn of Africa. Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has challenged President Ruto ahead of a national address, stating that Kenyans will only be satisfied if the President speaks with honesty and truthfulness.
