Ruto Launches National Dialogue for Post-Vision 2030 Development Strategy - July 2026

President William Ruto has announced a new national development initiative shifting from the "bottom-up" economic model to a comprehensive "development charter" as Vision 2030 approaches its end. He officially set August 12, 2026 as the launch date for Kenya's post-Vision 2030 national dialogue. Ruto has also detailed his rationale for appointing Professor Hiroyuki Hino and Professor Anyang' Nyong'o to lead a team developing Kenya's development strategy beyond 2030, forming the backbone of this new policy direction.
