Former Samburu County Woman Representative Maison Leshoomo and six Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) have defected from Jubilee to the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), endorsing President William Ruto's 2027 re-election bid. Deputy President Kithure Kindiki stated that the ruling UDA party remains strong and is open to collaborations with like-minded political parties and individuals for the upcoming 2027 elections. Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has claimed that sources within State House provided him with details of President William Ruto's national address prior to its delivery on Thursday, July 30. Former Cabinet Secretary Aisha Jumwa has officially announced her departure from UDA, stating her readiness to collaborate with like-minded leaders for the development of Kilifi County, the Coast region, and the country.
