Leaders in the Mt Kenya region have rejected Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua's apparent bid to dominate the region's politics through his Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP). Political tensions are escalating as Gachagua faces accusations of 'tyranny' for urging other parties to dissolve and join his party.
