Kenya has officially entered the race to host the 2029 World Athletics Championships, submitting a government-backed bid aimed at bringing the event to Africa for the first time. The bid comes after Kenya secured the top spot in Africa and second place globally at the World Under-20 Championships in Eugene, Oregon, USA, demonstrating significant athletic prowess. Separately, Kenya's national swimming team is buoyant and aiming to reclaim their top position at the upcoming East Africa School games in Morogoro, Tanzania, after a narrow second-place finish last year.
