The Pharmacy and Poisons Board has issued a warning regarding a counterfeit batch of Postinor-2 (P-2) emergency contraceptive pills found circulating in Kenya. The Board sternly warned about a fake batch of Postinor-2 (P2) emergency contraceptive tablets, batch number T34197R, being circulated in Kenya, with these fake pills posing a significant health risk to users. Separately, the Kenyan government is set to invest Ksh29 billion to construct 13 new Level 5 hospitals across various counties, aiming to expand specialized healthcare access and advance Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
