President William Ruto has accused his predecessor, retired President Uhuru Kenyatta, of sponsoring political opponents and failing to deliver on key projects like affordable housing and universal health coverage. Ruto has also accused Uhuru of secretly financing the opposition and mobilizing against the current administration. In a related statement, Ruto emphasized that Kenyan voters will elect leaders based on their development track record, not ethnic affiliations, highlighting his focus on national unity as the 2027 election approaches.
