Nakuru Town East MP David Gikaria has filed a police complaint and issued a 72-hour demand notice against former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, alleging defamatory remarks linking him to violence and deaths during the Ol Kalou by-election. Deputy President Kithure Kindiki revealed he held secret night meetings with Gachagua, advising him on loyalty to President William Ruto before Gachagua's impeachment. Nyandarua Senator John Methu accused Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen of overseeing a violent attack on opposition supporters in Nakuru, branding him the "CS for Goons and Coordination of National Terror" and alleging police inaction. Separately, Gachagua has accused the government of failing to protect him after his convoy was allegedly attacked by armed individuals in Nakuru, with police reportedly standing by as the attack unfolded.
