The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) announced the arrest of 15 suspected gang members along the Kisumu-Kericho highway on Sunday, August 16, recovering a cache of crude weapons.

• The operation involved the DCI Operations Support Unit (OSU), Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau (CRIB), Nyanza Region, and DCI Kisumu Central.
• Recovered items include machetes, pangas, knives, ropes, and mobile phones.

Nairobi police have raided a busy stall in Platinum Plaza, Tom Mboya Street, recovering 38 mobile phones and arresting a suspect believed to be involved in "flashing" stolen devices.

• Recovered items include 38 assorted mobile phones, three laptops, and one desktop computer.
• The operation targeted networks suspected of receiving and redistributing stolen property in the Nairobi CBD.
• Two other suspects were apprehended later with government-labeled computer equipment.
