The Kenyan Ministry of Education has officially rejected claims of a postponed school reopening, confirming that academic activities for basic education institutions and Teacher Training Colleges will proceed as scheduled on Monday. Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba has reiterated the official school day timings, directing all-day public and private institutions to adhere to an 8am to 3:30pm schedule for classes, followed by co-curricular activities until 4:45pm. The CS also dismissed social media rumors claiming a revised academic calendar for the 2026 school year.
