Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has alleged a plot to manipulate the 2027 General Election, claiming a South Korean firm has been pre-selected for a controversial election technology tender. He claims the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) tender for election technology is rigged to favour Miru Systems Company Limited. The Democracy for Citizens Party leader is also embarking on a five-city tour of the United States from August 26 to plan for the 2027 election roadmap. Meanwhile, opposition leaders Kalonzo Musyoka and Eugene Wamalwa met with Gachagua to intensify efforts to unite behind a single candidate to challenge President William Ruto in the 2027 General Election.
