Ruto: Mau Forest Secured With Title Deed, Only Fencing Remains - August 2026

President William Ruto has announced that the Mau Forest has been officially secured with a title deed under Narok County, stating the issue will no longer be politicized. He visited Narok County to inspect the Emurua Dikirr Modern Market and launch a new KMTC project, while also pledging Sh1.2 billion to establish a new university in Emurua Dikirr named in honour of the late Member of Parliament Johana Ngeno. Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has officially launched Kenya's ambitious National Bioeconomy Strategy 2026-2036. Kenya's Minister of Agriculture Mutahi Kagwe has issued a stern warning against the importation of banned pesticides to protect public health and the agricultural sector.
