The National Police Service (NPS) has refuted claims of corruption regarding the Ksh2.8 billion police uniform tender awarded to a two-year-old company. The NPS has denied any involvement of Nalitex Limited in the procurement and manufacturing of the new Kenya Police Service General Duty uniform, stating that the contract was lawfully awarded to Bedi Investments Limited following a transparent procurement process. While the new uniform has been well-received for its image enhancement, the procurement process has sparked concerns regarding transparency and the use of public funds.
