Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has warned Kenyan politicians to cease interfering with the work of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), stating that such actions could jeopardize the country's democratic process ahead of the 2027 General Election. Kindiki has also urged the IEBC to remain impartial and resist intimidation from politicians, and warned politicians against using youth or goons to engage in political violence. Meanwhile, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has urged the Opposition to cease interfering with the IEBC and instead focus on presenting policies for the 2027 General Election.
