The Kenyan Government has launched a new National Communication Policy to standardize how government entities communicate with citizens, with the policy published via Gazette Notices dated August 28, 2026, aiming for timely, accurate, and accessible information. The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has simultaneously integrated its Electronic Tax Invoice Management System (eTIMS) with the Integrated Financial Management Information System (IFMIS), introducing new requirements for government suppliers regarding tax compliance documentation. Separately, the government has announced a series of fresh appointments and reappointments to key state boards overseeing education, research, health, and communication institutions, also detailed in Gazette Notices from the same date.
