Nurses Strike Continues After No Deal With Governors - September 2026

The Kenya National Union of Nurses (KNUN) has stated that there is no agreement with the Council of Governors regarding the 2017 CBA, and the nurses' strike will continue as planned. Nurses in Kisii have condemned a goon attack during their peaceful demonstration. The union has maintained that the strike will continue until the benefits contract for nurses is implemented.
