Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has accused the opposition of plotting to discredit the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) and urged Western Kenya leaders to rally behind President William Ruto for the 2027 General Election. He further warned that opposition attacks on IEBC threaten confidence in the 2027 General Election. Meanwhile, Deputy President Kithure Kindiki dismissed large crowds at opposition rallies as unreliable indicators of voting intentions, stating that actual votes are what matter. These developments come as politicians abandon secure positions for potentially more powerful roles in the 2027 elections.
