Kenya's Mining Cabinet Secretary Hassan Joho has formed a high-level technical committee to resolve compliance issues with Tata Chemicals Magadi Limited, following the suspension of the company's operations after President William Ruto ordered its shutdown. The Ministry of Mining and Blue Economy established the joint committee to address disputes and outstanding issues between the government and the company. Kenya's government has since adopted a less confrontational approach toward Tata Chemicals Magadi, with the joint committee reviewing compliance matters after previously threatening to expel the company.
