President William Ruto, during his Kericho County development tour, urged unregistered voters to register and get voter cards to support his re-election bid in 2027. He took a fresh swipe at Gideon Moi, accusing him of propping up the opposition while touting his administration's development record ahead of the August 10, 2027, General Election. Meanwhile, Jubilee Deputy Party Leader Dr. Fred Matiang'i strongly refuted claims by President Ruto and Kenya Kwanza leaders that former President Uhuru Kenyatta is funding the opposition. At the same time, UDA Secretary-General Hassan Omar publicly supported businessman Suleiman Shahbal in his challenge against Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir, rejecting political zoning or deals that would ask aspirants to step aside for the incumbent.
